Eric Kondo

Managing Partner

Eric is the managing partner of GC&I and has over fifteen years experience as a business and tax lawyer working across different industries. He holds a Masters degree (DESS) in Business Law and a degree (DU) in Common Business Law from the University of Lyon 3 and Moncton, in collaboration with the Lyon Bar and the AUF.

 

Eric previously worked at HOEGAH & ETTE, where he successively held the positions of Mission Director and Tax & Legal Manager. He participated on behalf of his clients in negotiations for Public-Private Partnership (PPP), public markets and mining contracts.

As part of his duties, he has carried out tax and customs audit and review assignments with several companies, including Unilever Côte d'Ivoire, Standard Chartered Bank, United Bank of Africa, Coca Cola West Africa, Coca Cola Export, Cooperation liaison office, Bial and Perseus Mining Ivory Coast.

 

Eric has also carried out numerous due diligence missions with several companies and social audit missions. He is currently a member of the Executive Board of the Chamber of Mines of Côte d'Ivoire and the current President of the Legal, Tax and Customs Commission of this institution.

Micheline Tonian Kone

Partner

Micheline has worked with GC&I since 2018 as an external consultant and has over twenty years of professional experience in legal and judicial practice. She qualified as a lawyer under the Certificate of Aptitude for the Legal Profession (CAPA) and also holds the Diploma of Higher Professional Studies in Human Resources Management and the Training Certificate on the practice of mediation in the OHADA space, issued by the Higher Regional School of Magistracy (ERSUMA) of OHADA.

 

Micheline has worked in labor, civil, commercial and intellectual property law. Micheline began her career at SCPA COFFIE & Associés and then became a lecturer from 2000 to 2004 in labor law and general commercial law successively in DISTRIPHARM establishments, the Higher Institute of Communication Techniques (ISTC), at the National Pedagogical Institute for Technical and Vocational Education (IPNETP). In November 2004 Micheline became an Associate Lawyer at Cabinet HOEGAH & ETTE and a Lawyer at the Abidjan Court of Appeal, which included defending the cases of several national and international clients.  

Martial Bonga

Partner

Martial is a legal & tax advisor, with more than ten years of professional experience. Martial holds a Masters (DESS) in Business Law obtained at the University of Abidjan-Cocody and has successfully completed The Program in International Financial System (PIFS) from Harvard Law School. Martial provides legal and tax consultations, including contracts and M&A services, capital raises and due diligence missions undertaken in the context of company takeovers. His experience at CREPMF was an opportunity for him to familiarize himself with the legal issues encountered by companies in the financial sector. In this context, he successfully contributed to the adoption of various legal instruments (Regulations, Circulars and Instructions) initiated as part of the overall reform of the Regional Financial Market.

Sandrine Christel Kouame

Sandrine has over ten years of international legal experience, including as a litigation lawyer for Mercedes Benz and HSBC in Paris La Défense. Sandrine holds the Certificate of Aptitude for the Profession of Lawyer, and a PhD in private law - business law obtained at the University of Aix-Marseille. Sandrine has a vast legal knowledge of financial organizations, commercial law, construction, agri-food, ICT, mining, and energy. She has also been a lecturer in labor law, commercial company law, tax law and competition law at the National Polytechnic Institute INP-HB. Most recently, Sandrine was Associate Lawyer at SCPA EFFI & Associés, Lawyers at the Abidjan Court of Appeal where she had to defend the cases of several national and international clients. Over the years Sandrine has honed her expertise in follow-up of litigation cases, legal and judicial assistance, legal consultations in business law and intellectual property; drafting of contracts, procedural documents, requests, memoranda in cassation; legal secretariat (assistance and drafting of minutes of board meetings).

Vincent Kassi

Tax Lawyer

Vincent is a corporate tax lawyer with nearly ten years of professional experience and holds a DESS in Taxation and Business Law. From 2005 to 2007 Vincent was a lecturer in labor law and civil law at the IGES school Group. He then became a Lawyer Associate from 2007 to 2011 at MANGLE DJIDAN & Associés before working as a tax lawyer at Mining Services & Consulting from 2013 to 2017. At GC&I Vincent provides the traditional services that are of a corporate lawyer, in particular, legal and tax consultations, drafting and analysis of contracts, legal secretarial work, due diligence missions and administrative assistance provided. to companies.

Diarra Yacouba

Tax Lawyer

Diarra Yacouba is a tax lawyer with more than seven years of experience in corporate law and commercial law. Diarra has a Masters degree in corporate taxation. He has developed an in-depth expertise in the field of legal and tax advice, drafting deeds for companies. He is involved in the creation, transmission, and legal follow-up with clients as well as in the drafting and analysis of commercial contracts and general conditions of sale. In the tax field, he provides assistance in tax audits and consults on operational tax impacts for commercial companies.

Oka Kouakou Lucien

Oka has more than ten years of legal experience and holds a Masters in Fundamental Private Law. From 2009-2011, Oka was a lawyer at SCPA KAKOU & DOUMBIA Lawyers at the Court of Appeal of Abidjan. From 2011 to 2012 he was Head of the Legal Department of Cabinet MK. Synergie, Accounting, Legal and Tax Firm in Dimbokro and from 2013 to 2019, Lawyer at Cabinet BINATE BOUAKE, Lawyers at the Court of Appeal of Abidjan. Oka hence has strong expertise in the drafting of contracts, procedural documents, requests, cassation briefs and in the follow-up of litigation files.

Elodie Dion

Legal Assistant

Elodie is a legal assistant with a master's degree in business law and taxation. In 2013, she worked as legal assistance to the Office of Maître DAHI, commissioner of justice at the Court of 1st Instance – Abidjan Plateau and from 2015 to 2017, she provided legal assistance to Mining Services & Consulting. At GC&I Elodie works on the follow-up of files regarding exemption from customs duties and temporary admission for mining companies; drafting of contracts, procedural documents, requests; legal secretariat (assistance and drafting of minutes of board meetings); assistance in social matters (labour law and social laws, social welfare).
